About Us

Colorado Properties Construction and Landscape Co. was founded back in 1987  by Dennis and Peggy Owens, based out of Littleton, Colorado. 

To this day, I continue to personally handle of the installation work myself. My many years landscape experience, allows me to offer my customers a wide array of available landscape services. In many ways,     our company offers the very best of professional landscape services by combining the benefits of a small company's quality control, along with the sophisticated services often associated with the larger top companies. I cater to customers who demand quality at reasonable prices. My primary goal is to continue to develope long-term customer relationships. 

History

Between the years of 1987-2000, many of the company's services were centered around providing total landscape packages for new homes. In which we provided the complete design work, materials, equipment, and installation services. With a crew of 5-7 men, we were building numerous full project site landscapes throughout various areas located within  south-west Littleton. Specifically, in such developments as: Columbine Knolls Estates, Governor's Ranch, Ken Caryl Valley, The Spread, and Ken Caryl Valley North Ranch.

Within the last 10 years,  Roxborough Park and sections of Highlands Ranch have also become major areas of work. The company direction continues to evolve towards my providing services for renovations and repairs to customers who have existing landscaping. 

Company Downsizing (2002-2006)

Starting back in 2002, it was decided to dramatically downsize the number of employees with which the company operated. In many ways, it was a difficult decision, because we had so many quality employees over the years. Additionally, the company has always been booked full, and well in advance. The final decision to operate the business with fewer and fewer employees over the years, was based upon two major considerations: 1) a difficult local labor market , and 2) my personal desire for the company to evolve towards a lower volume type of business while continuing to stress quality. I am happy to say, the results of the downsizing have been great!
